Chris is a well-known designer, marketer and executive in the high-technology industry. His breadth of experience ranges from micro-coded software to the chemical and semiconductor industries. As a career-long inventor and entrepreneur, Chris defined and successfully funded technologies that created billion dollar markets in fields as diverse as microprocessors, flat panel displays, and batteries.

As Compaq Computer’s Director of Technology Planning and Development, he focused on the creation of technology leading to the formation of joint ventures with Conner Peripherals, Nexgen Microsystems, In Focus Systems, Sanyo Electric Battery, and Citizen Watch.

Chris is the inventor of the first notebook computer concept (US Design Patent #317,442), which became the Compaq LTE Notebook Computer family. The product had first year sales in excess of $1.5 billion. He also was responsible for Compaq's technology diligence and investment activities.

Chris graduated from the University of South Carolina with five degrees - Associate of Law Enforcement Administration, B.S. Computer Science, B.A. English, B.A. Sociology and a Masters in Educational Research and Statistics.
